The Aylesbury Voices: Raising Wendover

Join us for a free, all-ages drawing workshop to give one final, creative voice to Wendover, a landmark building soon to be demolished on the Aylesbury Estate. Help build a large-scale animated patchwork artwork that reflects on the space Wendover held and the space it will leave behind.

About the event
A free drop-in drawing workshop for all ages to give a final voice to Wendover, a substantial building within the Aylesbury estate which is due for imminent demolition.
The workshop will reflect on the building's presence within the community and the space it will leave behind. Through a large-scale animated patchwork drawing, participants will help symbolically “raise” Wendover up before it is brought to the ground.
No experience is necessary—just drop in, pick up a pencil, and add your block to the growing artwork! Suitable for ages 5 and up. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult.
This workshop is part of Raising Wendover, a project running throughout 2025 in various venues, and offering a creative space for reflection, conversation and community storytelling.
